Communities of practice, such as ours, must have a well defined core identity to grow in healthy ways. The greater the diversity of expression, the more important the core identity is. Rehabilitation is a very diverse group and educators must serve all community members. Finding our center is particularly important. The NCRE board tasked a small group of people to create a dialog on this issue with the objective, one would hope, of anchoring the center once and for all, so we may proceed in some informed way to build upon it. This forum is dedicated to that objective and, in the spirit of inclusion, we invite anyone with an opinion to join in.
