Supervised experiences related to the PRACTICUM provide the student with the opportunity to explore specific areas of career emphasis. COURSE OBJECTIVES To understand the major types, purposes and operations of agencies within the human service delivery system, the legal foundation on which they are built, and the social context in which they operate. To demonstrate skills in interpersonal communication and the ability to build alliances with consumers, peers, and the community at large, incorporating cultural sensitivity into daily practices. To satisfactorily participate and learn from individual and group supervision, in both agency and on-campus course supervision.
