CFDA 84.129B

The Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) announces a priority to fund programs leading to a master’s degree in vocational rehabilitation (VR) counseling (CFDA 84.129B).

On November 5, 2013, two documents were published in the Federal Register:

1) Notice of Final Priority (go to: https://www.federalregister.gov/articles/2013/11/05/2013-26500/final-priority-rehabilitation-training-rehabilitation-long-term-training-program-vocational )

2) Notice Inviting Applications (go to: http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2013-11-05/html/2013-26495.htm )

The Application Package was then published in grants.gov (go to: http://www.grants.gov/view-opportunity.html?oppId=246894)

Applications are due on February 3, 2014, by 4:30 p.m. Washington, D.C. time. Questions may be submitted in writing to the Competition Manager, Dr. Diandrea Bailey, at [email protected].

RSA will conduct three pre-application Webinars. Registration is not required for this Webinar. All Webinars will be recorded and archived.

Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 2:00 PM Eastern time.

Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 2:00 PM Eastern time.

Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 2:00 PM Eastern time.

Each Webinar will be delivered through the National Clearinghouse for Rehabilitation Training Materials (https://ncrtm.org/) and is scheduled for 1.5 hours in length. The information shared will be consistent for each Webinar and there will be time for questions. Prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to carefully review the NFP, NIA, and Application Package prior to the Webinar.

In addition, prospective applicants should review the U.S. Department of Education’s “Grantmaking at ED” document, which provides answers to your questions about the Discretionary grants process. This document can be accessed here: http://www2.ed.gov/fund/grant/about/grantmaking/index.html

Note: Please develop your questions carefully as RSA can only respond to questions related to the NFP, NIA, and Application Package. We cannot stress enough the importance of reviewing all of the documents referenced in this email. Many times your questions can be answered by conducting a “search and find” (Control + F) in each of the documents.
